Create & Gather is a two-day community arts gathering, whose goal is to set a table for artists to display, share, perform, & sell their works.
We are currently inviting local artists to submit their pieces either for the gallery/silent auction, or for performance during our live “in the round.”
Create & Gather is a subsidiary of Rez Arts and is hosted by Resurrection Anglican Church.
100% of proceeds from the silent auction will go to the artist.
OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS
We encourage submissions from a variety of mediums, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, textile/fiber work, music, poetry, & storytelling.
Please fill out a submission form that best corresponds to your piece.
Guidelines for submissions can be found on the forms.
Deadline for submission is July 6th, 2026.
Note: Live performers will perform in our “in the round” event on Friday, August 14th.
100% proceeds from the silent auction will go to artists.
The flow of the event
Night One
Thurs, Aug. 13th
Our church building will be open starting at 6:30pm for attendees to browse through the gallery, and bid on silent auction pieces. Live, instrumental music will be playing throughout, and hors d’oeuvres will be available.
The silent auction will close at 8:30pm.
Night Two
Thurs, Aug. 14th
We encourage attendees to arrive at 6:30pm to find a seat, as our performance will start promptly at 7pm. Our live performers will follow an “in the round” style of performance, we will have a brief intermission, and then our special guest artist, Anthony Quails, will perform for the second half.
Picking up your purchased pieces from the silent auction
Pickup for any purchased silent auction pieces will be held on Mon, Aug. 16th from 5:30-7:30pm at the church. Payment will need to be ready upon pickup, and your balance will need to be paid in full before you take your piece home.

Create & Gather is for art-lovers, art-makers, art-supporters, and the art-curious. The goal of the event is to support local artists & to introduce new audiences to their works in a friendly and low-pressure environment.

Thursday, Aug. 13th is dedicated to our visual artists and is when our silent auction will be held.
Friday, Aug. 14th is dedicated to our live performers.
While each night can be attended independently of the other, we would still encourage attendees to attend both evenings, as they’re able, so that they can support and learn about both visual and performing artists in our area.

Create & Gather is organized and hosted by Rez Arts, a subsidiary of Resurrection Anglican Church. While this event is being held in our physical church building, it is an event held primarily for our community.

100% of the proceeds from the silent auction will go to the artist. Resurrection will handle all payment processing.

This event is open to all ages, and children are welcome.
ANTHONY QUAILS
This year’s special guest artist for our Friday, Aug. 14th live event is Anthony Quails.
In his own words, Anthony Quails “can’t get away from being a storyteller.” As a troubadour with over 20 years of songwriting experience, Quails taps into folk tradition while imparting his own gentle insights to create songs that feel timeless and universal without being trite.
