The Church Calendar

What is the Church Calendar?

The Church Calendar tells the story of God and His people by dividing the year into two major segments, each lasting approximately six months. The first part tells the story of Jesus, beginning in Advent with the anticipation of His birth and stretching all the way to Pentecost with the sending of the Holy Spirit. The second part tells the story of God's people, the Church, during the long season of Ordinary Time.

Rhythms of Feasting and Fasting

Resurrection Anglican follows the historic Christian Calendar, which is something that Christians across denominations have done for thousands of years.

We believe that this is one of the most profound discipleship tools we have, because it takes our calendar and molds it into the image of Christ. And in turn, as we move and live life by it, we are formed into His image.
